W czasach pandemii podających w wątpliwość dalsze trwanie ludzkości warto zastanowić się nad przyszłością sztuki. Czy istnieją nieodkryte dotychczas formy twórczości nieludzkiej? Odkrycie przez artystę głosów rzek jest próbą odpowiedzi na to pytanie.
Za pomocą strun zanurzonych w nurcie rzeki ujawniany jest głos, będący reprezentacją ukrytej – twórczej/niszczycielskiej – mocy wód. Drgania strun można zobaczyć, a przekazywane przez nie wibracje przekładają się na dźwięk. Jest on słyszalny z zaledwie paru metrów, ale zazwyczaj wystarczająco głośny, by móc rozpoznać całą jego barwę. Daje to możliwość takiego odbioru rzeki, w którym objawia się jej podmiotowość.
Artysta ma nadzieję, że uświadomienie tego pozwoli na odmienne doświadczanie środowiska, w którym rzeka była dotąd traktowana jako bierny i niemy przedmiot ludzkiej percepcji i ingerencji.

In times of pandemic which question the future existence of humankind it is worth reflecting on the future of art. Are there any undiscovered forms of non-human art? The exploration of river voices is the artist’s attempt to answer this question.
By immersing strings in a river hediscovers a voice that represents the latent – creative/destructive – force of water. The vibration of strings is discernible and translates into sound. It can be heard within only a few metersfrom the river, but it is usually loud enough for its timbre to be recognized.Such interaction with the river is one in which one can distinguish its subjectivity.
The artist is hoping that this realization will shed a new perspective on the environmentin which the river has been treated so faras a passive and silent subject of human perception and interference.
